What to have ready when you call

• The postcode, the type of building and roughly when it was built
• Why you need the survey — planned works, a purchase, a lease, an insurer or auditor request
• For commercial and industrial sites: approximate floor area and any drawings or scope of works
• Any deadlines — exchange date, contractor start date, programme milestones
